First let us say, welcome! We are always happy to answer any specific questions you have about massage therapy and our approach to wellness.
Your experience will vary based on the service you've selected but here are a few things you can expect during your first appointment at Mountain Fox Massage:
Each session begins with a brief consultation to discuss your current wellness goals, comfort level, your questions, and to ensure your massage therapist is aware of any health conditions that could impact technique selection and areas of the body being focused on or avoided.
All of the services we provide will require physical touch of some kind. The amount of pressure and area of the body being addressed will vary based on the service. We ask you to communicate with your massage therapist before, during, and after each session regarding your preferred level of physical contact or any concerns you may have.
Your massage therapist will ask you to undress to your comfort level (massage services only) and then they'll leave the room to allow you to disrobe privately. You are not required to remove any clothing that you do not want to remove. Massage can be provided to you fully clothed if you prefer, however, your massage therapist will be better able to apply various techniques with fewer to no clothing. We encourage you to discuss the level of undress you are comfortable with during your pre-session consultation.
At no time will you be fully exposed to your massage therapist. Using sheets, towels, and/or blankets, your massage therapist will use proper draping techniques to only uncover the area of the body being worked on at any given time.
At no time should your breasts or genitals be uncovered or touched.
We have a zero-tolerance policy regarding any sexual behavior from clients or our massage therapists this includes but is not limited to touching, comments, jokes, and innuendos. Any of these behaviors from a client will result in the immediate termination of the session, forfeiture of the service fee, and refusal of any future services. As a client, if you believe one of our therapists has violated this policy, report it to management immediately.
If you have any questions or concerns about what to expect please contact us!
We truly appreciate it when a client leaves a tip however tipping is always optional. It's one more way to say we did a great job. But, if money is tight or you're just not a fan of tipping, here are a couple of other ways to show us you're happy with the services you received:
